If we have this chronic disease, we have high blood glucose. The high glucose levels make kidneys work additionally in order to filter the blood. Over time that can damage the kidneys and cause a small protein amount to leak into the urine.

If the damage gets worse, more protein will leak, and the blood pressure will rise. That will result in the build-up of waste materials in the blood. And if we do not treat this it will damage our kidneys completely.

An early sign is a build-up of fluid. Also, frequent urination, weight gain, swollen ankles, trouble concentrating, and a hard time sleeping.

But these symptoms are not specific, which is why there is a need for tests. Tests such as those for blood pressure, blood tests, and urine tests.

Follow a Kidney-Friendly Diet

We should drink a lot of water in order for the kidneys to flush waste, and prevent kidney stones, and urinary tract infections.

Reduce sodium intake. An excessive amount of salt can raise blood pressure and that way has a negative effect on the kidneys.

Exercise regularly. People who exercise have healthier blood rates and blood pressure and overall good lifestyle profiles and nutrition.

Eat more vegetables and fruits. This type of food can help the kidneys to remove additional acid from the body and remove it from the urine.
