Nowadays juicing is becoming more and more popular since people are learning about the many health benefits it offers.

When juicing, it is essential to combine the right ingredients to enjoy these benefits. If we don’t make the right combination, we might get a sugar bomb that does nothing beneficial.

For people looking to improve their health with the help of juicing, masking the strong flavors of vegetable juice might be challenging.

Below there are a few delicious recipes for juices and tips for people to control their blood glucose levels. Yes, we can enjoy our juice and at the same time do something beneficial for our blood glucose levels.

Juicing Tips

  • As a base, we should use vegetables with a high-water content like celery and cucumbers
  • Include vegetables and fruits high in manganese, since it can help lower insulin resistance. Include ingredients such as spinach, parsley, broccoli, beet greens, carrots, collard greens, and cabbage
  • Use green beans and asparagus since they contain compounds that can help stabilize the blood glucose
  • Avoid mango and pineapple, since they contain a lot of sugar
  • For added flavors select spices and herbs. Cinnamon can stabilize blood glucose. Also, we can include fennel, parsley, cilantro, and ginger
  • To sweeten the juice, add kiwi, green apple, and berries

6 Recipes for Diabetes-Friendly Juices

1. Only for Me

  • Lemon – ¼
  • One green apple
  • Cucumber – ½
  • Celery – 2 ribs
  • Bittergourd – ½
  • Green pepper – ½
  • Lemon – ¼

2. The Energizing Juice

  • Organic parsley – ½
  • Organic lacinato kale – 4 leaves
  • One organic cucumber
  • Organic spinach – 3 cups
  • Five stalks of organic celery

Extra Tip – The greens give an energy boost. However, if this obtained juice is just not sweet enough, feel free to add a small amount of organic beet or green apple for flavor.

3. The Juice for Healthy Heart

  • Organic green apples – 2
  • Six sprigs of organic watercress
  • Organic tomatoes – 2
  • One handful of organic parsley

Extra tip – tomatoes, apples, and watercress have compounds that are effective when it comes to lowering LDL cholesterol levels.

4. The B6 Bounty

  • Organic Brussels sprouts – from 10 to 12
  • One peeled organic lemon
  • Organic string beans – 2 cups
  • One organic cucumber

Extra tip – String beans and Brussels sprouts are the marvelous B6 source, and B6 is a vitamin that helps stabilize blood glucose.

5. The Alkalizing Juice

  • Organic spinach – 1 cup
  • Organic celery – 2 stalks
  • One organic carrot
  • Organic green apple – 1
  • One organic cucumber

Extra tip – The spinach gives a mild flavor. Try and make this juice without the carrot for lower glucose levels. If not, at least add a small carrot to obtain that sweet taste.

6. The Veggie Juice with a Twist

  • Organic red pepper – 1 of medium size
  • One squeezed lime
  • Organic celery – 2 stalks
  • Organic spinach – 1 cup
  • One organic carrot
  • Organic fennel bulb – ½
  • Cilantro – ½
  • ½ organic cucumber

Extra tip – we can also add one clove of garlic.
