There are people who just love snacking at work. Or, snacking when watching their favorite TV serial. Most people choose to just press the button of a vending machine while at work and get some quick snack which will turn out to be a disaster for their diet.

Choosing the wrong snack can impair our metabolism, add pounds to our size, and throw our blood sugar levels out of control.

We understand that the stress at work can make people turn to different chips and sweets as a way to relax and forget about their problems. However, people will quickly become frustrated about eating the sugar-rich muffin, triggering even more cravings.

But, there’s s a healthier way to satisfy one’s sweet tooth.

Delicious, Healthy Snack

Instead of munching those sugar-, carb-, and fat-rich snacks, people can make their own at home using nothing but natural, healthy ingredients. What’s more, it’s tastier than the boring options from the vending machine they get every day.

It requires just two ingredients, both of which contain many nutrients important for one’s health. What’s more, they are popular diabetes-friendly foods, so this snack is perfect for those who want to control their blood sugar levels.

They are apples and cinnamon. Apples contain fiber which slows the absorption and digestion of carbs, thus preventing blood sugar spikes from appearing rapidly. Also, they contain polyphenols which help reduce insulin resistance and blood glucose levels.

Cinnamon, on the other hand, helps reduce insulin resistance and lower cholesterol and blood glucose levels.

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon to taste
  • 2 or 3 apples

Instructions

Slice the apples with a sharp knife into as thin pieces as one can. Make sure the core is in the middle of each piece. Then, lay the slices on 2 baking sheets, and don’t forget to leave some space in between them. Then, sprinkle some cinnamon on top of the apple slices.

Next, put the trays in a preheated oven at 220 F. After baking them for an hour, flip them over and bake for one more hour.

Then pack the snack and take it to work. Enjoy!

From now on, people can enjoy eating a delicious snack without spiking their blood sugar and adding to their size.
