  • As a base, we should use vegetables with a high-water content like celery and cucumbers
  • Include vegetables and fruits high in manganese, since it can help lower insulin resistance. Include ingredients such as spinach, parsley, broccoli, beet greens, carrots, collard greens, and cabbage
  • Use green beans and asparagus since they contain compounds that can help stabilize the blood glucose
  • Avoid mango and pineapple, since they contain a lot of sugar
  • For added flavors select spices and herbs. Cinnamon can stabilize blood glucose. Also, we can include fennel, parsley, cilantro, and ginger
