Have you ever wondered why 30% of the American population has diabetes? As ridiculous as it may sound, the ADA (American Diabetes Association) the association that works for the sole reason of helping people with diabetes, promotes foods that cause diabetes.

Moreover, these recipes are even on their website under the section ‘worst foods for people with diabetes’. The ADA claims that people with diabetes should focus on maintaining a balanced, especially with the blood sugar.

However, they tend to avoid the most crucial things, like preventing inflammation, dehydration, heart disease, hypertension, cancer and even Alzheimer. Some diseases can result in others, like diabetes.

Furthermore, diabetes can cause multiple problems by up to 50% with the pancreas, liver, colorectal, breast, bladder and even endometrial cancer. Besides, America is famous for its processed food.

They sell conventional fruits, processed gluten, nitrates in meat, GMOs, foods with high fructose level, artificial hormones, glyphosate weed killer, soy, and wheat. The ADA states that diabetes should focus on the sugar, but what about processed foods?

Even though many websites recommend people with diabetes stay away from processed lunch meat, frozen pizzas, milk shakes, sausage, biscuits, the ADA recommends otherwise. They believe people with diabetes should eat such foods.

They claim that people eat bacon, ice cream, lunch meat, pork, chicken sausage. Therefore, the ADA promotes all the problems above, in other words, they inspire pancreas, liver, colorectal, breast, bladder and even endometrial cancer.

So what should we think about the recipes the ADA published?

Five Harmful Recipes Recommended by ADA

1. Shrimp Wrapped in Bacon

  • 20 raw, peeled and washed shrimps
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce
  • 7 bacon slices

The bacon here is the most controversial ingredient, obviously.

2. Spinach and Ham Sandwich

  • 2 ounces smoked ham sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1½ -ounce whole wheat toasted sandwich thins
  • cooking spray
  • ¼  tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 4 tsp grated Parmesan
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

This recipe contains a ton of gluten, sodium (430 mg), hormones, nitrates, and antibiotics.

3. Split Sundae with a Grilled Banana

  • 6 Tablespoon fat-free whipped topping
  • 1/2 teaspoon grounded cinnamon
  • 6 Tablespoon crushed no-sugar-added pineapple
  • 2 teaspoon of blended Splenda brown sugar
  • 2 bananas
  • 6 Tablespoon of drained sugar-free chocolate sauce
  • 2 cups reduced fat and calories strawberry ice cream
  • 6 Tablespoon chopped pecans

There is no such thing as sugar that doesn’t contain any sugars. On the contrary, Splenda has 14g of sugar. The ice cream has a lot of fructose, and not to even mention the sugar added in the pineapple. All of these ingredients are artificially made.

4. Grilled Chicken Sausage

  • 2 large zucchini
  • Cooking spray
  • 4 sun-dried tomato
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • precooked chicken sausage

Starting with the oil that is artificial and genetically modified, and going all the way to the pre-cooked sausages, this is crazy. The sausages ‘only’ contain 480mg of sodium. According to studies, grilling your meat can prove problematic for people with diabetes.

By grilling the meat, the fat that drips can become a powerful carcinogen, also known as PAHs. Other problems can occur like the creation of heterocyclic amines and a lot more glycolytic enzymes. This is the reason behind the inflammation of the body.

5. Cuban Pork Sandwich

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 15-ounce whole grain baguette
  • 1 pound pork tenderloin
  • 2 ½ Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 ½ tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 15-ounce whole grain baguette

All in total is 590 mg of sodium.

What Can Some Dairy Products and Processed Meats Cause?

There are over 7,000 clinical researchers that prove the danger of consuming processed meats. This kind of meats are related to cancer and people should replace them with another type of food. On top of that, they contain a lot of nitrates as well.

Such processed meats are of course bacon, sausages, meats for sandwiches, etc. So the question is, why are these meats posted on ADA’s website?

There are even believes that some foundations that work to help people with diabetes create fake food publication because sponsors pay them, as the dairy industry. Be careful of what choices you will make, for example, avoid anything that can cause problems for you.

Therefore, it is important to take care of your body and not to force it to do things it can’t possibly achieve.

Your body is your sanctuary, make sure you take good care of it.
