8 Natural Ways to Balance Glucose Readings

The amount of glucose that travels from a cell to a cell to supply the blood with energy is the blood sugar.

If a person has high blood sugar, also known as hyperglycemia, it means that the insulin is the one to blame for the blood sugar levels. (1)

This condition becomes more serious as time passes. It may damage the nerves and organs, so if you have hyperglycemia, you will have to start regulating your blood sugar. Therefore, here are some natural remedies that can help solve this problem. (2)

1. Cinnamon Extract

Cinnamon can prove useful for lowering the blood sugar, increasing insulin sensitivity and preventing blood sugar spikes. If we consume cinnamon extract as a supplement, our body will get used to the amazing benefits that it can provide. So try adding it to your diet. (3)

2. Nuts

The ideal nuts for balancing blood sugar are pistachios, walnuts, and almonds. They contain a huge amount of proteins. Therefore they can lower fasting blood and increase insulin sensitivity.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar

According to research, if we drink apple cider vinegar it will be easier for the body to regulate the blood sugar levels. Moreover, it will help increase insulin sensitivity. All we have to do is dissolve 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and drink it. (4)

4. Water

If people drink as much water as their body needs, they can regulate their blood sugar. Water forces our body to get rid of the excess blood sugar through urination.

5. Avocados

Avocados contain a lot of fatty acids and fibers that can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce the risk of developing diabetes. Therefore, they are a great way of balancing blood sugar. (5)

6. Green Leafy Vegetables

To prevent blood sugar spikes, we should eat more green leafy veggies like lettuce, kale, and spinach. They contain a lot of fibers that are excellent for our body.

7. Sleep

It may sound cliché, but getting a good night sleep is always crucial for our body. If we don’t sleep enough, our body will require more and more food. Therefore the blood sugar will rise, and we’ll feel more stressed. As a result, hormones like cortisol will increase in number.

8. Exercise

If we exercise, our body produces more energy. This energy can improve insulin sensitivity and balance blood sugar. But, do not exercise if your blood sugar is already low. Plus, you should always eat something before you plan on spending energy. (6)
