Before you make any changes to your treatment plan, such as including okra, make sure first to consult your doctor. According to one study, okra can block metformin and its absorption.

Metformin is a medication that is usually used to manage blood glucose levels. In case you are taking metformin, do not use okra. To stay on the safe side, consult your doctor.
